Dear Parents,
We have a mishmash of information to give you… so here goes
Your students did very well on their first Bible Verse Test! We are keeping track of their progress and will let you know how they are doing in the coming weeks.Even though we are currently only keeping track of progress, very soon they will be receiving letter grades for Bible verses. We want them to have enough practice and get comfortable in coming up and speaking, reciting, reading, etc. for an Oral Test grade. Please keep studying those verses!
Mid term reports are going home for the older grades but not for Kindergarten these first 9 weeks. We are testing your child in Phonics and Math and you will receive a Progress Report mid October on your child’s progress. Please review the papers that come home daily in their green folders. If there are corrections that need to be made please help them in understanding the correct answer. Some of the papers have not been completed so please allow your child to finish them WITHOUT help and then you can correct it and help them if needed. However, please don’t send them back.We have plenty of other work to help us remain aware of their progress.
The class T-shirt that you may have ordered for $15.00 has an added benefit: you will not have to pay the $2.00 for every Spirit Day if you purchased this shirt, and your student can wear blue jeans, too.Yeah!
Please keep an eye on your child’s health. There are the common virus’s going around and we are trying to keep everyone as healthy as possible. If there is even a question about your child not feeling well please carefully consider whether or not to bring them to school and expose other children to the chance of getting sick. If your child is running a fever of 99.9 degrees or greater you need to keep them at home. They may have a virus that is contagious to others and/or your child’s immunity system may be low and they may get other virus’ that can get them even sicker.
Please help your child learn to double tie their shoes and buckle their belt.If they are having too much trouble, you may leave the belt at home because it is not required for Kindergarten. Also, please help them learn to button, snap and zip because cooler weather is on the way and they will need be able to put their coats on and off themselves.
We want you to know that we are a part of a team.It takes the home and school working together to help your child reach their full potential.Kindergarten gets hard.Take it seriously because we want your children to succeed. J
Your Kindergarten Team, Mrs. Cardona and Mrs. Moore
