Welcome students and parents.I'm looking forward to a having a great school year with you. Pre-Algebra and Algebra are courses that I have enjoyed teaching very much for the past seven years. This year, I will also be teaching a reading course as well as Consumer Math.
As a child, I attended Jacksonville Baptist Temple (3rd - 8th grade). Much of what I learned about God and His Word came from the foundation I received there. FCCS grew out of JBT. It is a privilege to sow seeds back into the same field that so nourished me. God's great love is the driving force of my life.
As a professional, this is my eleventh year in Christian education. For five of those years, I served as the principal/administrator of another school (nursery through 8th grade). I understand the value of classroom discipline and run a pretty tight ship.
I have a B.A. in Music from Florida State. I was a voice principal and still love to sing. I am certified in both music and math. I like to keep things interesting by incorporating rhythm, chant and music into the math classes to help students memorize and retain new concepts.
I have a dog named Katie, a cat named Puddy, and three incredible children. God is showing His faithfulness to us all.
As long as students follow the leader, we will have a great time!!
